Hi beauties, it’s Mona Lisa and it’s Intuitive Tuesday, the radio show helping intuitives, introverts and empaths manifest the conscious and abundant life and business that they desire.

Today, I’m answering a question from Destiny Lynn in My Intuitive Coaches Facebook group. She writes in…

“My question is how do soulfully determine if you should go back to your 9-5 with the intent on using it as a tool to further invest in your business. I have been sick over the decision to go back to my 9-5 so I can fully fund my dream. Or to continue just finding ways to cut corners and just make it work.”

This IS SUCH a great question, Destiny, and one I get asked all the time! Thank you for submitting it.

I think that having a job that feels good – READ: not energy draining, all consuming, or stressful – can be a powerful and effective way to invest in your business if it feels like it will create more SPACE in your life as opposed to more heaviness.

I went back to a 9-5 job after I had invested in my website, coach training, logo, etc. because I didn’t want to feel the pressure of HAVING TO GET CLIENTS in order to survive. Personally for me, that energy felt toxic and unsupportive of my mission as a new coach trying to establish herself.

I knew it wasn’t going to be my job forever, so I called in a wonderful 9-5 job that felt very fun, lighthearted and easygoing. I stayed there for a couple of years until I felt SO ready to go full-time in my coaching business.

Going back to your question – you said you felt sick over the decision to go back to your 9-5 so you can fully fund your dream.

What is it about going back to a 9-5 job that makes you feel sick?

Is it the job itself (in which case, I’d say, get a job that you enjoy more and have fun with it!) or perhaps the lack of flexibility (in which case, I’d say get a job that offers you time and location flexibility!)?

OR, is it something else, like your soul wants NOTHING more than to be full-time in your coaching practice right now, and you KNOW you can make it happen?

OR, is being part-time somewhere an option?

There’s no black and white answer, so in lieu of personally getting on a coaching session with you and hashing this out, I want to give you 3 tips for getting the answer for yourself.

Tip #1)

Tune into your intuition and ask yourself…. What would be in greatest support right now for your business? Will your business flow more if you have the support of a 9-5 job, or if you were in it full-time?

Tip #2)

Consider creative options. For example, I had a job for a few years as I was building my practice, and when I left, I decided to move back into my grandparents’ house in order to take the rent and other bills off of my plate while I REALLY built it up.

That won’t necessarily be your solution, but think outside of the box here – what creative solutions can you think of right now in order to invest in your business’ success? Maybe it’s nanny-ing, tutor-ing, VA-ing, putting some investments on a CC, or simply doing everything humanly possible you can do to book your next clients in order to cover your investments.

Tip # 3)

Be clear on exactly what you need and for what. Do you have a certain dollar amount you need to make a month before you HAVE to go back to a 9-5? Or, do you need $5k, $10k, $20k to cover your business investments? Getting clear might be all it takes! For example, if you need $10K to cover some investments, that can be as simple as landing a few clients, and cutting a few corners as you said, as opposed to going back to a regular job.

Alright Destiny, thanks for asking your questions, and I hope those tips have helped you!

And if you resonated with Destiny, I hope that this has served you as well.

NOW, I’d love to know what your takeaways are if you listened in and related to Destiny’s question! Let me know by heading to my Facebook group at and you can also submit your own question there.

I hope that this has served you, and I’ll see you next Tuesday on the next episode of Intuitive Tuesday.

IT 048: From Boring, Broke Coach To Magnetic, Money-Making Coach

July 31, 2017

Note from ML: Being aware of your limiting belief is only the first step. Dragging your sad story around for months and years will only repel success, and attract friends who also like dragging their sad stories around. Learn to leave the boring ass coach parade by tuning into today’s Podcast or reading the transcript below.

I’m Mona Lisa Ondevilla, international success coach for intuitive coaches.

Today, I’m going to share with you a key difference between boring, broke coaches who help no one but really really want to, and magnetic, money-making coaches who show up and help their tribe by the thousands.

As an introvert myself, I work with intuitive women coaches because I believe they are the most powerful, untapped resource on the planet, who can literally save the world, once they get over their drama and stories about why they can’t show up.

So many smart, intuitive ambitious coaches are aware of their limiting beliefs, which is an important first step. But it’s only the first step.

I’ve seen too many women drag their sad stories around for months and years, and I’ve seen the negative effects it has on their lives – they become ugly, old, tired, and they literally repel success. They energetically attract friends and clients who also drag around their sad stories… Success doesn’t wanna be anywhere near that – can you blame it?

You have to leave the boring ass, depressing parade by taking action that directly challenges your fear if you want to be successful as a coach.

  1. Face your most crippling fear/story – the one that’s been stopping you from your next level of success and happiness. Ask your fear, what does it need from you? Write the answers down.
  2. Decide to leave your story behind and to no longer let it play a part in your identity. Be fierce about this – this means monitoring your thoughts, habits and words so that you are not acting in alignment with this story anymore.
  3. Now here’s the step that makes the difference between the boring, broke coaches who help no one and the magnetic, money-making coaches who help thousands. Take action from the energy of the woman who doesn’t have this story and be vigilant about it like your life and happiness depends on it – because it does. What does she do? How does she show up? What does she believe and think about herself? What do her boundaries look like? If your story is that you’re afraid of publishing your blog post because you’re afraid of what people will think, write and publish 10 posts and promote the hell out of it on your Instagram and Facebook. Watch your confidence rise as you get the confidence and shine that comes from a woman who just conquered her fear. If you see yourself slipping back into the old story, bring yourself back. Like your life depends on it. Be aligned with the energy of a coach who does not have your old story and fear.

I didn’t say it was easy, but then again, it’s not easy to be on the broke, boring and bummed out coach parade for way too long!

So, take inspired action now by writing in the comments below what ONE ACTION you are going to do to conquer your fear and re-align with your success instead.

Can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Today, I’m going to share with you why trying to keep up a perfect image online doesn’t actually keep you from being judged harshly. I know, I’m sorry to burst your bubble, but I’m SO tired of seeing otherwise, smart, brilliant and radiant women keeping themselves prisoners because they want to look perfect and like they have their shit together, when they’re not fooling anyone.

This need to look perfect and to present a perfect image online is poison to our coaching industry.

No one – myself included – wants to be subject to looks of horror, evil laughter, or even worse, pity (who does she think she is?).

But here’s the thing. If you post happy, love-yourself quotes all day every day, and in reality, you hate everything about yourself – people can feel it. And they will judge you. And probably not trust you to be their coach.

You are so much smarter and braver than that, and I know that you can be loved and honored for being the most real version of yourself – not for being a watered down, boring version of ourselves (that’s not fooling anyone).

Here’s the way out.

First, you have got to call out your inner judger – you know, the one who wants you to be little miss perfect, or boring, broke coach. Give her a name. Frantic Franny? Mean Girl Mandy? Then, let your inner judge-y mean girl take the reigns, and let her tell you what she REALLY feels. Write it allll down.

After that’s out of the way,  identify whose voice that is – is it a parent’s voice? A mean girl from 5th grade’s voice? Maybe your own voice from an earlier age?

Next, write down your truth. For every judgement that your inner mean girl said, write down what you actually know about yourself to be true. For example, maybe she told you that you don’t know what you’re talking about and that you’re a major fraud. But deep down, your truth is that you know you have such an incredible gift to share with the world, and that you’re a strong, capable and brave woman who knows what she’s talking about.

Lastly, show up and take action that makes Mean Girl Mandy come out to play! Start your business Instagram, get your website together, show UP. She will come out, and when she does, go back to your List of TRUTHS and stubbornly shut her down. She’ll lose her power over you in time.

As you do this, people will start to FEEL YOU – who you really are. And you’ll start to attract clients who deeply resonate with you and love you for your imperfections.

After you do this exercise, I’d love to hear the name of your inner saboteur. Share it with me below or in my FB Group Intuitive Coaches here

I hope that this has served you and I’ll see you next time on the next episode of Intuitive Tuesday!
