Hello Gorgeous Lightworkers, it’s Mona Lisa and it’s Intuitive Tuesday, the radio show helping intuitives, introverts and empaths manifest the conscious and abundant life that they desire.

Today’s Podcast is the second part of a two-part series centered around creating content for your tribe, so you haven’t listened to Intuitive Tuesday Podcast #33, I highly recommend you listen to that first!

So last time, I had you decide on what type of content you want to put out. Maybe you decided on a blog, a Podcast, a video series, Instagram, graphics, or a FB Live show.

Now that you know how you would like to speak to your tribe, now it’s time to figure out what content to create.

Remember, last time I said “As an online coach and entrepreneur, the only way you can make sales and get clients is by putting out consistent content that your ideal customers will love and resonate with.”

Your job is to find out what your ideal customer loves learning about and engaging in when it comes to your specific topic.

Of course, a big part of this is figuring out your ideal customer, which is a whole, ginormous process in itself, that I teach to my private clients and couldn’t possibly fit into a Podcast.

But, for now, let’s say you already have an idea of your ideal customer and who she or he is, and that you know what topic you want to help your clients with.

For example, in a nutshell, my ideal customer is an introverted, intuitive woman who is a new or aspiring coach. My main topic is showing my ideal customer how to have a more fulfilling, joyful lifestyle by learning how to create a sustainable, profitable coaching business where she’s able to use her unique talents and skills to transform the lives of her clients.

Once you have that down, you’re ready to create some awesome content!

4 Steps To Create A Year’s Worth Of Content That Your Tribe Will Love, Resonate With, & Be Served By:

Step 1: Brainstorm 12 Sub-topics (one for every month). Examples: Say your topic is nutrition.

Potential sub-topics could be: yummy clean recipes, what foods to eat depending on their body type, supplements, how to grocery shop, how to meal prep your lunch, how to wean yourself off of sugar, etc.

Step 2: Write out 1-2 common problems that your tribe has for every sub-topic. This will be your basis for writing content.

So let’s stay with the example of nutrition, a potential common problem that your ideal customer may have in the sub-topic of “healthy grocery shopping” could be that he or she has no idea how to grocery shop, gets super overwhelmed at Whole Foods, and ends up just spending tons of money on ready-made foods and salads, that aren’t even that healthy.

Step 3: Let them know you get it, and provide some personal experience or experiences you’ve helped your own clients through

Step 4: Give them a solution! “Reverse engineer” the solution to be something you can help them with, to affirm your place in their minds as their fave, go-to expert in your topic.

Some valuable things you can offer are free how-to’s (like this step-by-step!), show notes, a way to work with you privately, a free program you’re offering, or a FB group.

I hope that this has served you and I’ll see you next Tuesday, for the next episode of Intuitive Tuesday.

When you’re done with your worksheet, come back to the post and let me know how you did in the comments below.

IT 034: The Letter I Wrote To You At 4am The Night After I Quit My Job

Transcript:

Today, I’m sharing with you a letter I to myself… before I had anything I have today. When coaching and having my own full time coaching business was just a figment of my imagination.

I wrote this letter/journal entry when everything I have today – my mentors, my business, my travel plans, my lifestyle, my home – was nothing more than a prayer, my deep visualization.

I wrote this letter to myself the night after I left my 9-5 about a year and a half ago. I kept it all this time because I knew that one day, I’d be ready to share it and that one day, it would help someone in the same position I was in.

It’s personal, raw, filled with terror, fear, excitement.

Most of all, it’s filled with faith.

I’m excited to share it with you – finally – today, because I know that there are many of you who could use a little bit of inspiration and faith. Things can change, really, really fast once you’re ready.

I want you to pay particular attention to the type of language I’m using at this point in my life, tune into my energy. I’m on the brink of so much at this time, and shortly after I wrote this, I had my first $10k month. A few months after that, I moved to my dream city of San Diego.

Here it is, unaltered and unformatted…

“Im writing this the night after I left my comfort zone in my 9-5. I was making decent income, worked with a team of women who I loved, and could have been happy there if I wanted. But for whatever reason that was beyond me, I started feeling miserable there. Like there was something more, something else that  needed to happen. The signs? I started to feel like one of the walking dead. I wasn’t taking care of my body. My home. My relationship. Everything except my comfort zone was slowly losing its spark. I was losing my motivation in all areas of life – my desire was there, but I didn’t have enough energy because my comfort zone was ironically, draining me. But even so… I could have chose to be happy there. Everything is a choice, and I was choosing to sabotage myself while I stayed in this job. Its because a huge part of me knew that I was meant for something more. I didn’t feel sexy, I was showing up for my relationships, friendships, family. I knew that in leaving, id be able to show up for myself and everyone else on a level that I was now capable of (that I wasn’t prior to starting this job).

The decision to leave was pure agony as well. It had built up to a point where I couldn’t not leave, but I didn’t wanna push that button yet either. But I knew if I didn’t, that decision was something that would bother me forever. Im not really good at staying in situations I know don’t work – the second I know its not for me, I move on. It was hard in this situation because my coworkers felt like family, they had become my friends. It was one of the most difficult things iv ever had to do in my adult life. you know what i did realize though, at 3:30 am? that i could be a MUCH better friend from the place i am in now, than i could have ever been in my zombie like state in my comfort zone. i can show up.

After I drove home from work on my last day, I started bawling, crying. The truth was finally hitting me, and my emotions were catching up (it was almost like I couldn’t feel my emotions during the day because it was so tough). I sat on the floor of my empty apartment (because for some miraculous reason, the universe aligned it so that the next day would be the last day in our apt as well).

And then, after sobbing, I stopped. And proceeded to order a ton of comfort food to… well, comfort me (thai food in my case).

I went to sleep early.

Now im awake, at 4 am, writing this. Cause it helps me process. And I know it will help someone else one day, since this is so fresh and raw for me right now.

I realized when I woke up that this is a sacrifice ive made. My choices have been a huge sacrifice, for the life and future that I want. I sacrifice a lot – travel, events, eating out, shopping, doing stuff with my hubby, ive now sacrificed the comfort of a 9-5 and the paycheck and friendships that I formed there. And I wasn’t doing it consciously before, so it felt like… well, who am I to ask for something amazing in my life.

Well you know, I realized… who am I not to? I have given everything, absolutely everything up at this point to follow my path.

To trust in the universes plan for me.

On the surface, it might look like I have nothing right now. This is a supreme illusion, because for the first time ever, I have absolutely everything I need to co-create the life ive dreamed of, practically. I have a strong relationship with my hubby and so much love there, and a commitment to myself and my wellness. To money and financial freedom. Time freedom. I am ready to rock and roll, universe.

Let’s. Do. This.

Let’s play. Let’s create. Let’s make tons of money.

I want insurance. Healthcare. A happy and luxurious home that’s ours. a growing family. a kick ass career. lots of travel. nice clothes. lots of events. lots of chill time. to be able to get my eyelashes done and always look amazing hipline. money in the bank. nice cars. the Philippines. a fireplace. luxury travel. luxury linen. soft, fluffy towels. a nanny. a chef. an assistant. to glow. to lead. to love. a thriving business. to feel and look like a million dollars. a legend. wealth. a sexy and fulfilling and loving marriage. a happy husband. however that can happen. you take care of the how and work through me. i will show up. i am here.”

So that’s it gorgeous ones – that was my letter.

Can you see yourself in it? Are you where I was? Then I’m so excited for you. I’d love to hear your reaction in the blog post comments below, or in my inbox (send me an email to monalisa@monalisaondevilla.com).

IT 033: What Type Of Online Content Should You Create As A New Coach And Purpose-Filled Entrepreneur?

Hello Gorgeous Lightworkers, it’s Mona Lisa and it’s Intuitive Tuesday, the radio show helping intuitives, introverts and empaths manifest the conscious and abundant life that they desire.

Happy New Year and WELCOME TO 2017 (to those of you listening to this Podcast live and in real time).

I’ve heard from many of you that you’ve had transformative, eye-opening experiences in 2016, and that you’re inspired to get serious and get real about making 2017 the year that you finally launch your coaching business as an introverted woman and lightworker, and make some real money doing what you love to do – help others see their own light.

To make this switch, many of you have decided to stay goodbye to your old stories – like being afraid of being visible and out there as an introverted lady, or of looking stupid, failing, disappointing yourself, your family, your kids if you have them.

You know the stories. I know them well, too.

So to give you some extra momentum, today I’m going to share with you an important decision you have to make as an early entrepreneur to get your business up and running. It’s something that I’m deeply excited about, because I believe that as intuitives and introverts, we have an edge over everyone else in this category (yes, I’m totally biased, what can I say).

You may have heard before that content is king, and in the online world, nothing could be more true.

As an online coach and entrepreneur, the only way you can make sales and get clients is by putting out consistent content that your ideal customers will love and resonate with.

So the decision you have to make is simply this: what type of content would you like to put out on a regular basis?

Ask yourself the following questions:

What kind of content would light you up to put out? What do you naturally love to do? What do you think would be fun, even if it’s a little outside of your comfort zone? What type of content do you absolutely want to steer away from (at least for now)?

This decision is so important because if you’re not feelin’ your content medium, your audience can tell.

On the other hand, if you LOVE the way you’re delivering your content, your audience will too.

That’s why when I have clients who love to write, I tell them to write. Or if they love to make videos, I tell them to make videos (and later, to transcribe the videos to post on to their site).

Great news! There is not a whole lot of decision to be made here.

There are 4 types of content to choose from:

  • Writing
    • This can include quotes, captions, newsletters, blogs… anything you put out with the written word!
  • Videos
  • Live Videos
  • Audio/Podcasts

All I’m asking from you today is that you pick ONE main way to provide valuable content to your list.

Use your intuition as well as that smart brain of yours to decide what feels right for you to start. I guarantee you already know the answer!

You CAN and WILL – slowly but surely – expand the ways you like to provide content, but you don’t have to worry about that right now. For example, I started with writing, then went into Podcasting, then videos, then finally, I’m tip-toe-ing into Live Video. But I could NOT have started out with live video at first – if I pressured myself to do that in the very beginning, I wouldn’t have even started!

And let me let you in on a little secret… it always feels sort of awkward and scary to start! I still get nervous when I’m stepping outside of my comfort zone (like when I did my first FB live a few weeks ago!), but I love and savor this feeling, because it means I’m growing.

If you’re an aspiring entrepreneur, chances are, you also love to grow and learn as well, and owning your own business is a sure way to grow both financially and spiritually.

So for now, choose your favorite and give yourself full permission to knock it out of the park.

Some people to say to choose content that your audience will love to digest, and there is some truth to that – for example, I recently learned that a lot of you love video (who knew?!), and now I make videos too! BUT, I only did it when I was ready. The thing is, I personally don’t believe in forcing yourself to do something you don’t enjoy in your business – that’s a surefire way to make sure you don’t get the momentum you desire.

Your audience will resonate the MOST with whatever content style you feel the most natural and comfortable in today.

As a sidenote, this isn’t to say that you will LOVE to create content every single time, because some days, you won’t be feeling inspired, creative, or want to write content, even IF it’s the kind of content you enjoy.

And let me tell you, the ones who PUSH through when that happens – who write the email, even when they’d rather go to the beach or lounge on their couch – are the ones who will SLAY it in their business this year.

Now I do want to say that no matter what you choose, there will be a writing component because you should be sending out a regular written newsletter if you aren’t already.

But if writing isn’t your jam, but audio/video is, you can record yourself speaking what you want to say and then transcribing it for your audience to digest in your newsletter.

Alright, so to recap… your only homework for today is to choose what type of content you’d like to put out! Once you’ve decided, share it with me in the comment section of the blog. Declare it, and make it more real!

On next week’s Podcast, I’m going to help you figure out how to create valuable content that your tribe will love, so make sure to tune in to part 2 of this 2-part episode.

Alright lovelies, that’s all for today, I hope that this has served you and I’ll see you next Tuesday for the next episode of Intuitive Tuesday.
